101 Ways to Have Fun by Editors of Faithgirlz! and Girls' Life Mag is a magazine-style book geared toward tweens.

Because 101 Ways to Have Fun is a "tween" book, I am going to hand this over to my daughter for the review:

This book is a great way to have fun when you're bored. It contains DIY projects, fun snacks, and nail ideas. It gives you things to do by yourself, things to do with friends, ways to make money, and ideas on how to throw a party. This books seems like the activities need to be planned, rather than pulling out this book and looking for things to do right away.

Summer is heading our way and with it the inevitable boredom syndrome from our girls! I think I have the answer for all you moms of teen and tween girls. 101 Ways To Have Fun is packed with clever ideas that will keep your girls busy and active.

The activities are a great mix of solo ventures and group projects. They also vary in times so there really is something for just about any situation. The concept of the book is for BFFs but there are several activities that would work well with sisters and moms. I especially liked Chapter 4 Mini Makeovers. It has all kinds of recipes for scrubs, bath bombs, and signature soaps. Plus there are some easy clothing alterations, hairstyles and manicures that would be perfect for a family girls night!

What I appreciated the most about the book was the outward focus on others. Sure there are some activities that are meant to be introspective but most of the ideas help girls see and interact with others in a positive light. For instance when it is talking about making and sending notes it prods the girls to use words of affirmation that will lift each other up.

If you've got a tween or young teen girl in your house you need this book for a sanity saver! The ideas are brilliantly simple and affordable. Plus if you make an extra batch of those bath bombs you can have some much needed momma time while the girls do another activity!

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review. (Posted on 5/5/2016)

“101 Ways to Have Fun – Things You Can Do with Friends, Anytime!” was sent to me by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – in exchange for my honest review of it.
“101 Ways to Have Fun” was put together by the editors of FAITHGIRLZ and GIRL’S LIFE MAGAZINE. This book is set up with things for girls to do by themselves or with one to several friends. It is separated into time segments, like 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and an hour or more. It’s also separated by sections like, “Just for You”, “Have a Blast With Your BFF”, “Friend Zone”, “Mini Makeovers”, and “Super Sleepovers”, just to name a few. There are really cute and fun activities such as: a mental vacation, a thank you book, stuffing an envelope with “positive hearts” to do by yourself. Or maybe a 411 book, a wardrobe makeover, or a book swap for you to do with your girlfriends.
I love this book and would recommend it for your tween and teen girls!

For young girls the best thing to always have around is friends. There is absolutely nothing better than having someone that knows you quite well that not only has your back at all times but can be up for any activity under the sun as long as they can share it with you. Faithgirlz is a great organization and they know this all too well. So they released a great book to give our girls some really awesome ideas that our girls can do together.

When looking through the book I saw some things that I myself would enjoy with my daughter. So you can even incorporate mom into the equation to make it even more memorable. Not only does the book include beauty treatments it also includes fun games, and craft projects just to name a few. This book is a great start to a fun filled weekend! Appropriate for ages 8-12.

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. (Posted on 3/5/2016)
