In Tlalpujahua, a small Mexican town in the state of Michoacan, industry revolves around the glass ornaments which is the specialty in the area. The store where Angela works, like many others, looks like a little nest of fantasy, covered from wall to wall with a myriad of details that evoke from Santa Claus to the Magi: Nativity scenes, wreaths, garlands and ornaments, many ornaments, hundreds of ornaments; large and small, opaque and shiny, round and square.

What would customers think if they found out that the owner of this small craft store hates Christmas? And what would they think about don Ruben, the owner of that ornament factory and store, who does not value the festivities either? For these two, Christmas is just a commercial invention to strip people of their money and bonuses. An excuse to eat and drink. An opportunity for the poor to become poorer and for the rich to become richer. However, maybe this time everything will change with the return of Clara, Angela’s daughter, who arrives with devastating news; and with the presence of Adrian, don Ruben’s son, who decides to accompany his father to his first chemotherapy sessions.

Meanwhile, Clara and Adrian have returned to the town where they grew up, the place where they must confront the past, accept their present and build a future, the place where it seems to be Christmas all year long. But will it be a "merry" Christmas for them?
