Quick Overview:

In this compelling quest for the Messiah, bestselling author Max Lucado invites you to meet the blue-collar Jew whose claim altered the world and whose promise has never been equaled. Come to know Jesus the Christ in a brand new way as Lucado takes you to the foot of the cross and the man who sacrificed his life on it.

The cross.

It rests on the time line of history. Like a compelling diamond ...

Its tragedy summons all the sufferers ...

Its absurdity attracts all cynics ...

Its hope lures all searchers.

Far more than a gold-plated symbol of religious belief, the cross is the centerpiece of the Christian faith -- the meeting place of time and eternity. Where God and man encounter each other.

Max Lucado takes you through the drama of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ -- bringing to life Peter's denial, Pilate's hesitancy, and John's loyalty. Relive the events leading up to Jesus' crucifixion, from the foggy garden of Gethsemane to the incandescent room of the resurrection.

No Wonder They Call Him the Savior leads you up the hill of mankind's highest hope and reminds you why he deserves to be called our Savior.

Overall Rating
No Wonder They Call Him The Savior: Experiencing the Truth of the Cross by Max Lucado is about what Jesus Christ, our Messiah did for us - he died in the cross for our sins. The book is composed of three parts, each of which has about 10 chapters each, "The Cross: Its Words", "The Cross: Its Witnesses", and "The Cross: It's Wisdom". The book has 33 chapters, starts with an Introduction and ends with a Reader's Guide.

In my opinion, this book was interesting. I started reading it during Holy Week, and it inspired me to read the whole book of John during the Holy Week. Each of the 33 chapters started with scripture quoted from the Bible. I would definitely recommend this book for others to read.

I like the ePub format for the iPad. It looks better than other e-books out there.
