I've been listening to the 2001 narration since 2001 and I still can't find a dramatized version that I prefer over this. I've tried audio only. I've tried the experience with all the celebrity voices and none (in my opinion) compare to this version. I respectfully disagree with Bing with regard to the book of Isaiah. The inflection and intonation (whispers & shouts) is what gives the books of the prophet's life. The books of the law and the books of the prophets can sometimes be a bit dry to read or listen to and redundant in some cases. But listening to the shouts and whispers of Isaiah brings out the personality of the characters and makes it easy for one to visualize God's message and points that need emphasis. I believe everyone has to find a style that works for them and this version may not be for everyone. But I absolutely adore it and it has helped me to memorize God's word with such accuracy people think I went to seminary. I didn't. I've been listening for years and have most of it memorized (not on purpose) it just happened and I'm grateful. God Bless (Posted on 3/25/2017)

I went through 3 dry commentators tapes program over the years and an ok illustrated OT and NT cassets until my son played the Zondervan Dramatized CDs NT in the NIV for me and have loved them so I bought an OT as well and have been through the OT and NT at least 6 times each from 2003 and oh yea they have a misplace word or two in them and mayby the voices arnt like mine or Alexanders... Big Deal, they keep my attention and are interesting.. Im not an employee of any other Bible Company or listening to these CDs as a critic, Im a Prison Chapalin and a Christian for over 65 years and these CDs are the best on the Market and the more I listen to them the more I enjoy them. I wish I could refund this CD set. Because the narrators are not very good. Dramatization is simply not there. It is more like irritation than dramatization. The narrator for Isaiah and Ezekiel has a habit of read laud and whisper (almost inaudible) in a funny (irritating) voice. (Posted on 7/11/2016)
