In Advancing the Common Good: Rooting Justice in Identity, part of the Q Society Room experience, your group will explore the realms of injustice that need to be addressed by Christians. In this Q Society Room experience, your group will be challenged to investigate what it takes to speak up and why.
In Advancing the Common Good: Rooting Justice in Identity, host Gabe Lyons and DVD presenters Jo Saxton, Eboo Patel, and Shannon Sedgwick Davis explore the issues in our world that need a voice. There are injustices that take place everyday that need to be fought and opposed. In this Q Society Room experience, your group will be challenged to investigate the mission of Christians in opposing practices that run contrary to God’s laws and God’s nature. Lyons and Norton Herbst then help individuals and the group as a whole explore—through short articles by noted authors, transcripts from Q Talks (included in the Leader’s DVD and Guide), five meetings to discuss important topics related to the overall theme, and thought-provoking questions—a challenge to be a voice for justice. Meetings are divided among video, group reading, and group activity or project.
