As the title suggests, this Bible storybook includes 101 stories. Each story has a one-page illustration and one page of text--perfect for a daily reading. When I asked my 8-year-old daughter to read one story the other morning for her quiet time, she quickly asked, "Can I keep reading more stories?" So I'd say she liked it.

The chapter reference is given at the beginning of each story in case you want to look up more details. The stories are simple and easy to understand, without "dumbing it down." And, I feel it stays true to the Biblical account and details. You can check out this link to read some samples:

My daughter and I both like that how the illustrations aren't "too cartoony," making the book feel like a "bigger kid" book and not a toddler storybook. The illustrations are really beautiful and have a "realistic feel."

This would be a great gift to readers who have Bibles already and might feel intimidated reading its gray pages of text. Plus, the price is quite reasonable. I plan on buying this book as birthday gifts for other children my daughter's age.

I love the beautiful illustrations that go with each story. The story is concise but uses great descriptive words that really help enrich children's vocabulary, and also help to paint vivid mental images. Scripture references are included with each story as well.

I'm pretty particular about accuracy in my Bible-related reading, so I was very impressed with the illustrations in this book. Care was obviously taken to illustrate what the Biblical text actually SAYS, rather than mere tradition. Each brief story is simplified for children and contained on a single page. Chapter references are included for ease of looking up the original Biblical account.

101 Bible Stories From Creation to Revelation is a Bible story book. There are 3 things I really like about this book that make it unique from other Bible story books: half of the stories are from the New Testament, the illustrations are more realistic (not cartoonish), and it has a higher reading level. It is perfect for reading to children or for independent older readers to read to themselves. Each facing page has one page of the story and one page of illustration. Hardback book with 217 pages.
