The Once Upon A Time Storybook Bible is a large, hardcover picture storybook. The coated interior pages are full-color. A presentation page is included.

There are a total of 33 Bible stories in the Once Upon A Time Storybook Bible, with 18 being Old Testament stories and 15 being New Testament stories. Each of the stories starts with the phrase "Once Upon a Time..." and end with a "Happily Ever After" (which is a very short recap of each story with a verse reference). There are 4 pages per story.

I liked that at the end of the Once Upon A Time Storybook Bible, it states that this is "The End, and a Beginning". It encourages the reader to pick up a full version of the Bible and read more.

The Once Upon A Time Storybook Bible is a nice storybook Bible, and the large pages are a good size for reading to a group.

This is a sweet storybook Bible that is a great book to read at nap-time or bedtime especially or even at even at story time. It has beautiful illustrated stories that are taken straight from the Bible. With well over 30 stories to hold your child's attention these Bible stories are so pretty and motivate and inspire our kids to press on in times of trouble and hardship. Just as the characters from the Bible did during Bible times we must press forward, as well. These stories will definitely do the trick.

Geared for ages 4-8 and grades preschool to 3rd. A great storybook Bible for all ages really. And a great Easter gift!

**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from the author. All opinions are my own. (Posted on 4/4/2017)

We have enjoyed the princess series and the illustrators pictures through those books. This Bible does start every story as "Once upon a time" which can make others feel on edge because we know that the Bible is true and NOT a fairytale. So for me, it kinda makes it hard but at the same time my kids are enjoying this bible.

We did enjoy the larger book style. My son keeps asking for me to read out of the big bible because he is enjoying the detailed pictures. He even sat down and paged through to look at all the pictures while my daughter read the titles to him. My kids enjoyed each picture and the stories are still right on even with the added "once upon a time."

Overall, I think most families can and will enjoy this book as long as you remind them that the Bible is TRUTH and not a fairy tale! My kids understand that the writer was having fun with those words. (Posted on 4/2/2017)

“Once upon A Time Storybook Bible” was sent to me by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – in exchange for my honest review.
“Once upon A Time Storybook Bible” is a children’s picture book illustrated by Omar Aranda.
There are thirty-three well-known Bible stories in this book, written for a young reader to understand. Included from the Old Testament are the story of creation, Adam and Eve, Noah’s Ark, Daniel and the Lion’s Den, and many more. From the New Testament are Jesus’s birth, Zacchaeus, Lazarus, Peter Walking on Water, Jesus’s death and resurrection, among others. Each story begins with a verse and a “Once upon a time…” story, then ends with a “Happily ever after…”admonishment, along with the verses where the story is found in the Bible. The pictures are frame-worthy, in my opinion…GORGEOUS!
I would recommend this to young readers and to those who read to them.

*I received this book in exchange for my honest review, regardless, all opinions are my own.

Once Upon A Time Storybook Bible may sound like a fairytale, but it's not. It's the actual stories from the bible that happened - once upon a time ago. Everything about this book is wonderful.

Inside, there is a presenters page, so you can gift it, or keep it for yourself. The illustrator, Omar Aranda has beautiful artwork throughout the book and will keep your children turning for more.

This book features two sections, just like the bible, and is split up by Old and New Testament. While it has all the popular stories from the bible, it also has some of the lesser known ones in.

The stories are each only a couples pages long and make for the perfect bedtime routine. (Posted on 3/30/2017)

Disclaimer: I received this Book from the publisher, Zonderkidz for free to read and review. I was not required to give a favorable review only an honest review. All thoughts and comments in this review are my own.

From the Book:
The Bible is not a fairy tale, but every great story happened “once upon a time”. “The Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible” highlights powerful and inspiring stories from the Bible—including Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, Brave Queen Esther, the Birth of Jesus, Feeding the 5,000 and Jesus Resurrection.

The artwork and illustrations by Omar Aranda will keep your child turning the pages as they learn about the heroes of the Bible.

This Bible has a beautifully illustrated hard cover. It has a “presented to” page in the front so it can easily be given for a special event or a just because I love you gift. It covers the ageless stories from both the Old and New Testaments. There are 18 stories from the Old Testament and 15 stories from the New Testament and has 144 pages. The stories begin with a scripture verse and are short in length insuring it will hold your child’s attention from beginning to end.

In my opinion this is one of the best Bible storybooks for this age group I have read and reviewed in a while and would highly recommend it.
